About Crookes Valley

A Fairtrade Church

As a church we believe that the farmers and workers who produce the crops for the tea and coffee that we drink and other food items that we consume should be paid a fair wage and support the work of the Fairtrade Foundation. We are certified as a Fairtrade church which means our church council have agreed to the following:

  • - Use Fairtrade tea and coffee after services and in all meetings for which you have responsibility
  • - Move forward on using other Fairtrade products such as sugar, biscuits and fruit
  • - Promote Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight and during the year through events, worship and other activities whenever possible
