After a summer break, our Knit and Natter group starts again on 13 September, 6.45pm at Broomhill Methodist Church.

Leprosy Mission Money Raising

Once again donations have been given for coffee over the past few months for the Leprosy Mission's Gifts for Life scheme. This year people gave even more generously and we were able to raise a total of £800, enough to donate money for a house! People of the Passion

Meet the People of the Passion at Broomhill Methodist Church in a series of meditations on key characters in the passion every Thursday during Lent from 12:15 – 12:45pm, followed by soup and a roll.

Raising money for Present Aid

As in previous years, donations for coffee were accepted over the months leading up to Christmas'08 for the purpose of buying Present Aid gifts to help projects in third world countries. Amazingly, we collected a total of £310 for this cause and were able to buy the following gifts:

• Plant an allotment
• Condoms
• Teach a worker
• Train a health worker
• Train a businesswoman
